It's no secret that I take a bath almost every single night. I also often work from the coziness of my bedroom. So I have to wonder why it took me so long to come up with the idea of installing a Tea Service in my bedroom.
Seriously, I use it several times a day...my bedroom now feels like a hotel suite.
I actually already owned this sleek electric tea kettle that was going unused and being stored in a cabinet in my kitchen. Don't have one? You can buy one that suits your decor. This is the one I have in my kitchen which I also love!
I also added an elegant glass tea pot to my tea station (look how many gorgeous options there are) which now lives conveniently on a bookshelf in my bedroom. I stocked the shelf underneath with a variety of teas (for lazy mornings in bed, creative afternoons on my laptop or relaxing bath time sipping).
In addition to my favorite rotation of teas, I keep a favorite tea cup and a bottle of raw honey (which I now also take if I am feeling sick and by teaspoon before bed to enhance sleep). I also sometimes keep some XYLA stocked as I often want a low glycemic alternative sweetener.
If you don't have an extra shelf for storage, perhaps use a beautiful basket or antique crate. You could make an AMAZING tea station with a repurposed armoire!
I have a bathroom off my bedroom which makes refilling my tea pot super easy. If you don't, keep a gallon of bottled water on hand or other refillable container.
As always my intent is not just functionality so I frequently adorn my tea station with fresh flowers.
The site, smell, taste and feel of this ritual warms my heart + soul. [Update: I recently learned (reading glow15) that Earl Grey tea has wonderful health benefits due to the bergamot and ordered a big box of STASH DOUBLE BERGAMOT earl grey.]
Cheers, my tea time awaits...
